Being a pilot wife and military wife my husband is constantly on trips. When he isn’t using his company card or government travel card. We are using our personal card. After years of using a basic credit union credit card, it dawned on me we needed to maximize his time on the road to really build up points for us. We have since traveled to Disneyworld with our kiddos and only paid for the airbnb + food! The rest we paid with points.
I am a business owner so I was able to apply for the business card. If you are not a business owner and your husband is a pilot, I would highly recommend finding a business that you could open together. The savings you could have through tax incentives & credit cards is immense. Even if you only work on it 2 hours a week!
Where we live we have a biting gnat season that is AWFUL! Especially on my kiddos. My two-year-old and baby will be covered in little bites at the nape of their neck. It’s terrible. If you haven’t been bitten by a biting gnat before, think small horse fly that loves to bite in your hairline. It’s the worst. Last year, was a terrible year for them and I wanted to find a solution because we weren’t spending any time outside because of it.
I saw some people suggesting this on our neighborhood Facebook page and I am HOOKED. It works with everything, biting gnats and mosquitoes. BEST PART!!!! IT’S DEET FREE & made from natural ingredients. I felt totally fine spraying my newborn’s clothing with this to help deter the bugs.
Do you ever just feel like a whole new person when you refresh a space? That’s me. I think it might be called retail therapy but I’m not sure. When we moved into our house I was in the midst of my 4th trimester and really drained. So, honestly I feel like I am getting my pink back with this space! I am in LOVE with how it turned out and it was such a simple DIY project. Target’s bathroom collection has gotten so much better. But, if you can’t find this at target I found a couple items similar on Amazon. Here are the links:
I am SO excited to finally be working on getting baby j’s nursery where we want it! She is only 9 months old. HA! Since it’s so late I am really trying to make this space one that can grow with her and possibly grow into the next baby’s space since I really want J&j to share rooms one day. Is that every girl mom’s dream or just mine? I just want my girls to be close.
Here are a few of my favorites from Amazon that I am looking at adding to the nursery. Again, we are in the design stage so ANY advice is ALWAYS welcome.
